Doing first steps with Peeranha42

There are different ways of using Peeranha.

The first way is by simply downloading the p42 client and some plugins from the download section and extracting them. Place the jar-files of the plugins into /peeranha42/plugin directory.

Now you can start the peeranha42.jar and follow the instructions.

java -jar peeranha42.jar

NOTE: IN VERSION 0.5 YOU MUST USE THE JXTA CONFIG FOR PROPER RUNNING
Start the Client in a commandline environment with the following parameters:

java -jar peeranha42.jar -jxtaconfig

The readme.txt of Feeranha42 contains more information for right configuration of the jxta config.

Peeranha42 himself starts up with all plugins in the plugin folder active. You can change that in the preferences tab (View->Preferences). There you can switch the plugins on or off and change their startup status. For a direct view about the plugins check the proper readme on the homepage.
